“Unique story (love story with main characters older than most romance figures. Humorous moments, Good information on healing from emotional abuse, good testimonial moments.”

Ms. Steen`s amazing fertility of prose blends an adventure with a love story entwined that starts at a run and only gets faster. An expertly crafted story!  This book should bear a warning to all consumers: 'DETRIMENTAL TO SLEEP, YOU MAY READ ALL NIGHT.' Randall Anderson, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada

“I love the feisty romance between these older, seasoned people who are so deserving of happiness after waiting for it so long..."

"I'm not a great fan of "romance novels" but this one, Safe in All Things, is a most agreeable exception. If a story can be sexy without being in your face about it than this one surely hits the mark.  Good, christian, God fearing people do have sexual feelings.  It's part of being human.  Ms. Steen proves that those feelings, and desires are normal and natural, and can be a challenge no matter how mature the individual. But, most importantly she gives the more mature woman a voice.  Her heroine "Lil"  faces and overcomes many challenges on her way to finding "the love of her life".  You get the feeling that if Lil can do it, so can I. Add to all the adventure and misadventure enough laughter to make your cheeks hurt, then add the most important points, that God is in charge, that He cares about the details of our lives, for me that makes a truly good read." Safe in All Things

Safe In All Things by new romance novelist L.M. Steen is no longer available without contacting Ms. Steen through this web site, and only available in pdf format.

Lillian Marie Cline is finally widowed after forty years of an abusive marriage and has no use for men. She has come to the Kootenai National Forest to volunteer as a birder for Ranger Roberts but ends up with the bossy retired Ranger Russell who drives her nuts! Lillian's view of Ranger Russell is woven between attacks by the poachers and her attempts to prevent the death of his grizzly, her illnesses and his attempts to help her, a discussion about her first marriage with Batsy and Russell’s attempts to console her, the almost fatal attack by the dogs, and, her love of the Lord and how that plays in her life. Lillian’s attempts to get to Church are thwarted from the very start by flat tires, rain storms, her injuries, mud slides, and Batsy who has a dislike of a Sister Summerhill, a rather different member of the branch in Libby, Montana. Added to that are the more spiritual moments when Lillian sings her own composition "Safe In All Things" thinking she is alone on the rocky ledge.

In her own words she gets “rolled, beat up, banged up, smashed up, pounded on, and almost electrocuted, not to mention kissed to death since I met you in April and today I got married for the first time!” And that's only the start of her journey on the mountains with Russell.

"The thought of finding another man had never even crossed Lillian's mind. . . that is, until she entered the world of Mr. "B."  The tall, classically handsome mountain man had many secrets, and one was his instant love for this newly hired naturalist whose quirks and spontaneous mishaps endeared her to him.  Author L. M. Steen teaches you what it means to overcome life's challenges, and gives you hope that dreams can become reality, no matter how far away you think they are." Marcia K. Howell, Freelance Writer , Lyndonville, VT
